During June 2021, six Senior Scouts from 1st Brookwood Scouts completed their first expedition towards the Chief Gold Scout award since lockdown restrictions have been lifted, hiking for 15 miles over two days in the Surrey Hills using an OS Map, and camping overnight near Farnham. The only participation from Scout leaders was at designated checkpoint sites.
The event was a first for one senior scout, and the participants are keen to do another expedition soon, so an overall success and good progress toward the Chief Gold Scout award.
