
Diwali is the Hindu Festival of Light held over five days between mid-October and mid-November, celebrating victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
The Cubs busily squeezed a mini-Diwali celebration into one session where candle holders were crafted, a cartoon video was viewed explaining the meaning behind Diwali, a Hindu dance was bravely performed by one of our Cubs, and finally a traditional Hindu buffet was generously provided by some expert Diwali festival-goers.
