Early in the New Year 1st Brookwood Cubs and Scouts once again collected Christmas trees from residents in the village raising funds for the group. To see the fun they had in this worthy community initiative please visit the following link.

Prior to Christmas the 1st Brookwood group once again entertained commuters at Brookwood Station by singing carols and offering mince pies and raising funds for charity. Please click here to see them in action.
Having previously conducted some bike maintenance at another meeting and a summer bike ride on Sheets Heath, the Cubs ventured out in the darkness this November to test their biking ability on a night ride. The evening concluded with a much appreciated cup of hot chocolate and the cycle ride helped the Cubs achieve their cycling badge.
The 1st Brookwood Scout Group was immensely proud to attend the 2018 Remembrance Sunday commemoration at Brookwood Cemetery which marked the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1. On a beautifully sunny November morning members of our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts listened intently to the service. To see all the photos from this event please click here.
At the meeting before Remembrance Sunday our Beavers and Cubs had great fun when a serving soldier brought down some World War 1 uniforms, helmets, gas masks and even a bayonet. The Cubs also painted poppies on stones before laying them at the Remembrance Service at Brookwood Cemetery. For more images of the evening please click here.
