During the May bank holiday weekend, the 1st Brookwood Scouts were fortunate to stay at the Earleywood Campsite for the first time and have it all to themselves. There was a late dinner after arrival on the first day with camping equipment set up under their own instruction.
The days were a mix of Spring and Summer weather but everyone hardly noticed when it rained while they played volleyball, archery, and sped up climbing walls under supervision. During fieldcrafts they made impromptu football goals, learned how to use heavy tools, and made their own meals. Saturday night’s meatballs were a big hit!
An adventure filled long weekend was had by all and it felt like Scouting was back in full swing again, and lockdowns felt like a distant memory.
